MENTORING SERIES: BEING RESILIENT

Resilience is the process of adapting well in face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats and stress.

Cultivating a resilient spirit – the ability to stand up to challenges, work through them step by step, and bounce back stronger than before!

AkarakA scholars had a great opportunity to be mentored on this very critical virtue that helps an individual ‘to bounce back’ from difficult experiences. AkarakA mentor,  Shivani Bhargava, explained to our scholars about the important interventions to deal with stressful situations and how to overcome them. Scholars shared few of their instances and episodes that caused distress and suffering. We discussed building a resilient mindset through self-awareness, mindfulness, self-care, positivism and purpose. An integral feature of the philosophy of AkarakA Foundation is to impart soft skills, character-building initiatives and critical virtues that help our students to be able to face tough challenges in life. We had our year-end celebration too, to embark the festive times. Here’s wishing ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Happy New Year’ to all our scholars, alumni, university partners and friends of AkarakA!
