From being a part-time waiter to scoring 6 distinctions in ‘O’ level, to merit in Bachelor of Accountancy, and now the prestigious Public Service Commission of Singapore Scholarship, life has been an interesting journey for AkarakA Scholar, Lee Koh Chin!
Coming from a family of 5, with his father as a sole breadwinner working as a driver, Lee Koh Chin learnt hardships at an early stage in life. As early as secondary school, he aimed to lighten his family’s financial burden. He engaged in various unspecialized jobs such as part-time waiter and distributing flyers, to save for his future academic expenses.
Time took its course and he got admission to Ngee Ann Polytechnic. It was then he felt need to invest more time to study and engage in CCA. It wouldn’t have been easy without the intervention by AkarakA Foundation. AkarakA believed in his capabilities and supported his tertiary education at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. With lightened financial burden, Lee Koh Chin studied hard and paved his way to meritocracy.
We, at AkarakA Foundation, are committed to offering financial support by sponsoring the education of such young talents who believe in their dreams!
